Chalmers is a highly ranked Swedish university of technology with a total of around 11,000 students. The University has a teaching and research staff (expressed as full time positions) of around 1750, and offers 44 different full International Master's programmes, and a number of minor Master’s programmes, which are all taught in English. In addition Chalmers has research programmes that can be conducted in English leading to a Licentiate and a PhD degree. The number of PhD positions is currently around 715.

Role in Research Activities

The main role of L. Sihver will be to perform Monte Carlo calculations of organ and whole-body effective doses with the particle and heavy ion transport code PHITS, and supervise post docs performing dose calculations using PHITS. L. Sihver and his group will also be responsible for intercomparisons between different codes, systems and algorithms.
